News New Direction, Same Quality Service March 23, 2015Watertown Transit administrators invite the public to stop in and meet the staff, including new Director of Transportation Terry Hoffman and Office Manager/Dispatcher Wendy Cline. Hoffman took over the reins from former Director Pam Kwasniewski on March 2, 2015. Kwasniewski had guided the transit since the fall of 2010, but is looking forward to spending time with family. Hoffman has been with the project as Assistant Director since 2012. Cline has been at her desk since late June. Stop in and meet Terry and the entire staff. Ride With Us March 27, 2014 Our Office March 27, 2014 Hoppe wins Award March 22, 2015Watertown Area Transit, Inc. has announced Mike Hoppe has been named the 2014 recipient of the “Above and Beyond Award” by the Dakota Transit Association.The Dakota Transit Association is a coalition of public agencies and private organizations that promote and support public and special passenger transportation programs within North and South Dakota. The award was announced in September at the annual DTA Conference is Sioux Falls.The award is given annually to a staff person or system that has exhibited extraordinary dedication and devotion to transporting people with special needs. Criteria for the award includes creating a safe and secure environment for special needs passengers; proper securement of the mobility aid devices and its’ occupants and a clean driving record.WATI staff and administration honored Hoppe November 12 with an open house at the transit offices. He has been serving the public as a transit driver since November of 2012.
